Our vineyards are divided between the hills and plains, in two prestigious wine areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia: Collio and Isonzo
About half of the 50 hectares of land that are being used as a vineyard surround the Bortoluzzi company, in Borgo Tintor. The rest are divided between the nearby hills and plains, in two prestigious controlled denomination of origin (Doc) wine regions: Collio and Isonzo.

Collio
Collio is the perfect place for white wine vines that are nourished by a soil called “Ponca”, composed of mineral-rich marl and sandstone, and take advantage of a unique micro-climate, at a good altitude, protected from cold air currents, and with an excellent exposure to the sun.
Isonzo
In the southeastern and flat part of the province of Gorizia, however, along the emerald green waters of the Isonzo River, the cold and dry Bora wind meets the sea breeze. The Isontina plain, shaped by the river, boasts mineral-rich gravelly soils that are particularly suited to viticulture.
