The company was founded in 1982 thanks to the tenacity and obstinacy of Giovanni Bortoluzzi, a wine specialist who obtained his formal training at the Oenology School of Conegliano Veneto and who spent some time working within large companies and later on as a technical consultant, acquiring the essential experience necessary to create the company from nothing.
Azienda Bortoluzzi started out producing four varieties of grapes, mostly white, in a few hectares of specialised vineyards, situated in the Fogliano Redipuglia area.
“I recall my first harvest, when the children were still young” says Giovanni with a smile “There was a real sense of satisfaction on seeing that those vines, that had been so cared for and attended to for such a long time, had rewarded my efforts.”
Some time has passed since then and a lot of work has gone into attaining the levels of quality and productive excellence that single out our wines and make them so appreciated on a worldwide scale. |
